Rolfing and yoga both support you in moving through life with greater ease and poise.
Rolfing is a one-to-one restorative process, including touch, movement and body reading to release habitual patterns of tension, to improve posture, pain and health.
Yoga combines mindful movement, breath and relaxation practices to build strength, flexibility and steadiness in body, mind and spirit, as an ongoing support for health.
I offer Rolfing sessions in my South Bristol practice, and yoga classes and courses in Bristol and online.
What is Rolfing?
Rolfing is more than a way of easing aches and pains. Developed by Dr Ida P. Rolf (pictured), it is a ten-session bespoke process of body re-education that works with your body's whole structure and movement patterns to improve posture, promote healing and restore ease.
Each Rolfing session is a collaborative process. I'll use my my skill and guidance, alongside your awareness and experience of your body, to help you unwind long-held postural patterns and create more healthful alignment.
Rolfing can be beneficial at any age and often brings profound shifts in posture, movement, and confidence - helping you feel lighter, more resilient, and more at home in your body.

"After my first session I could feel a distinct change in my mental attitude and my levels of energy from low and negative to feeling taller and mentally more alert and happier. Rolfing is an amazing therapy in the right hands and Andrea has the right hands." - Kathy |
What is yoga?
Yoga is a philosophy and a practice of self-discovery originating from ancient India. Through mindful movement, breath, and meditation, it offers a practical way to balance body and mind and support healing.
Using the right practice regularly, intelligently and with awareness, yoga can help you recover after illness or injury, manage stress, and build strength and resilience for daily life.
Styles of yoga vary. My classes are slow-paced and accessible, suitable for all ages and levels. You’ll learn how to adapt postures and practices for your own body, building confidence and ease over time.
"I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's class - it made me realise how much I've missed yoga. And I have less pain today!" - Marie |
